Privacy & Confidentiality

Your trust, treated as medicine.

What you share with The Old Veda — especially in sensitive consultations — stays between you and the Vaidhya. This page explains exactly how your information is handled.

Last updated: 8 May 2026

1. Who we are

This website (theoldveda.com) is operated by the Ayurvedic practice of Vaidhya Raj Ji, a registered Ayurvedic practice with offices across India.

GSTIN: 10BGYPR6017H1Z5

2. What we collect

We collect only what you choose to share with us. This may include:

  • Contact details you provide on the phone or via WhatsApp — your name, phone number, and (optionally) email
  • Medical details you describe during consultation — symptoms, history, current medications, photographs you choose to send for diagnostic purposes
  • Limited technical data from your visit to this website — your approximate region (used to auto-select your language), browser type, and which pages you viewed (no personal identifiers)

3. How we use it

Your information is used only to:

  • Diagnose your condition and prepare your personalised Ayurvedic formulation
  • Stay in touch with you about your treatment — by phone or WhatsApp only
  • Ship your medicines to the address you provide
  • Improve the website (anonymous analytics only)

4. Confidentiality

This is the core promise: what you share with the Vaidhya stays with the Vaidhya.

For every consultation:

  • The phone line is the Vaidhya's personal line — there is no front-desk staff who hears your conversation
  • No shared patient registry, no insurance paperwork, no records passed between staff
  • Medicines are couriered in plain unmarked packaging with no practice name or condition mentioned anywhere on the parcel
  • Photographs you send for diagnosis are reviewed by the Vaidhya and stored only for the duration of your treatment plan

5. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with marketers, data brokers, or any third party for commercial purposes. Limited sharing happens only in these cases:

  • Courier/logistics partners — shown only your name, address, and phone number for medicine delivery
  • Legal compliance — if required by Indian law or court order

6. Cookies and website analytics

This website uses small browser storage (cookies and localStorage) for:

  • Remembering your selected language so you don't have to choose it on every visit
  • The Google Translate widget that powers full-page translation
  • Basic anonymous traffic statistics (no personal identification)

You can disable these in your browser settings. The site will still function — you'll just need to pick your language each visit.

7. Your rights

You can at any time:

  • Ask the Vaidhya what information is held about you
  • Request that your records be deleted (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Withdraw consent for further communication

Reach out by phone — +91 91626 14339 — or in writing via WhatsApp.

8. Data security

This website is served over HTTPS. Patient records held offline are kept in a locked cabinet accessible only to the Vaidhya.

9. Children

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 without parental involvement. Parents and guardians may consult on behalf of their children.

10. Changes

If this policy changes materially, the updated version will appear on this page with a new "last updated" date.

11. Contact

Questions about your privacy or data are best discussed directly with the Vaidhya:
